Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” is a family favorite book and movie. This 8 1/2 inch diameter plate represents the story of Tom watching his friends whitewashing a fence while he was playing marbles.
It is a first issue plate of the Tom Sawyer series by William Chambers. It was issued by the Edwin M. Knowles China Company in 1987.
